Quote We Are Pondering

“Be content with what you have. Rejoice in the way things are. When you realize nothing is lacking, the whole world belongs to you.” - Lao Tzu

Books We Are Reading

Steve: The Almanack of Naval Ravikant is a short compilation of the best blurbs and tweets of Naval Ravikant. Naval has had success as a tech founder and VC and through his tweets he provides thought provoking insights into his framework for life and work. A very fast read that is easy to jump in and out of!

Nicole: Pineapple Street by Jenny Jackson. With a fun title and vibrant cover, the author gives a vivid depiction of the lives of the people living in the stately homes on the famed Fruit Streets in Brooklyn Heights. A story about three women as they navigate love, wealth, and family. It’s witty and captivating and I really enjoyed it.

Things that Inspire/Interest Us

This Brookline Tudor Revival is a wow! Every detail thoughtfully designed to bring this ‘Millennial Gothic’ home to life. An updated modern layout made suitable for the family’s two young children, juxtaposed with the historical characteristics; this vibrant home is full of color and no white walls!

After a recent trip to Portland, ME (a few favorites here:
Fore Street, The Holy Donut, and Blythe & Burrows), we have the travel bug and this article about traveling with children is very timely. The Best Destination to Take Your Kids at Each Age.

Next up in the kitchen, this

Local Business Highlight

I was recently introduced to Jah Bakes, a Wellesley-based home baker, when a friend and I signed up for a macaroon class. The macarons not only looked good, but tasted delicious too! We had the best time and can’t wait to find an excuse to order one of her amazing creations. Check out her Instagram page here. She makes cakes, cookies, and seasonal treats bursting with color and personality!
