Post Memorial Day Check-in

The week following the Memorial Day holiday was an active one, with 10 new homes coming on the market in Wellesley.

While it’s definitely still competitive and homes are getting scooped up the first weekend, it seems like homes are not going as crazy over the ask price as they had been. That’s a good sign for buyers!

Additionally, the buyer pool often shrinks a bit in the summer months. A lot of buyers who were rushing to find a home before their lease expired may now be out of the market. Those who were unsuccessful this spring will have signed a lease for another year, thus hitting pause on their search and exiting the market until next spring.

It doesn’t mean buyers won’t be in a competitive situation, but it seems like the competition is dying down a bit…
