May is in Bloom
There’s an energy and excitement around town as the wether warms and the colleges wind down for the semester.
After the 14 houses that came on the market in Wellesley the week of April 24th-May 1st, primarily between $1.5m and $2.1m, the past couple of weeks have been much more quiet! With Mother’s Day this Sunday, May 14th, and Memorial Day on Monday, May 29th, there’s only one more non-holiday weekend in the month of May and we don’t expect too much new inventory to pop on the market.
Will that make for a busier June and July? It sounds like it! We anticipate homes will continue to trickle on through the summer and based on the backlog of buyers who have yet to find homes, it doesn’t sound like buyers will be taking a break from looking. Traditionally the summers tend to be a bit slower as many people decide to put their home search/sale on hold and instead opt to take vacation during the warmer months and when kids are on summer break.
We’re curious to see what’s in store for June and July!
